Before your visit, we also recommend watching Snowsports England’s Ski Way Code video below to help participants understand how to ski safely and responsibly around others on the slope.
Please read the information below carefully before your visit.
These sessions are designed primarily for beginners, with participants learning together at the same level.
Sessions begin on the flat area of the slope, where instructors introduce the fundamentals of skiing, including balance, movement, and basic ski control. As confidence develops, the group will progress onto the slope.
Sessions follow the same structured pathway as our standard lessons, progressing through the foundations of skiing step by step.
For larger groups, participants may be split by ability where possible to help everyone get the most out of the session.
Participants should wear:
Please note:
The slope is mist-lubricated, so participants may get wet. A change of clothes is strongly recommended.
No previous skiing experience is required.
For the best experience, we recommend groups are made up of participants of a similar ability level, ideally complete beginners.
Sessions are always taught at the level of the least experienced participant.
This ensures all participants can progress safely and confidently together.
Where possible, we recommend organising groups by ability level, similar to how ski schools operate in mountain resorts.
If only a small number of participants have skied before, they will remain with the beginner group for the session.
For larger groups where there is a more even split of abilities, participants may be divided into separate groups where possible.
Groups are typically run with approximately 8–10 participants per instructor, depending on the group type and session structure.
Groups should arrive a minimum of 30 minutes before the session start time to allow for sign-in and equipment fitting.
Larger groups may require additional time.
