Puffin Session - 30 minutes

Have little ones that are not quite ready to hit the slopes, try our Puffin Session as many times as your little ones want.

In a Puffin Session your little ones will get a feel for the ski equipment.

What will your Puffin learn:

  • How-to put-on Boots & get used to wearing them.
  • How-to put-on Skis & get used to walking/scooting on them.
  • How it feels to wear a Ski helmet and gloves for a whole session (this is often a deal breaker for most little ones)

What will your Puffins do:

  • Play balance games on the flat of the slope.
  • Walk around with skis attached.
  • Get a feeling for sliding either on their Skis (this is not the focus) or Tubing.
  • If the group is “strong enough” have a slide down the slope on skis.
  • Have fun with others roughly the same age to promote a positive feeling to Snowsports.

Why Puffins:

  • Don’t waste money and time paying for your little ones to have lessons on snow if they won’t keep the kit on.
  • Give your little ones a chance to come to skiing on their own.
  • In some very rare occasions, someone who is too young for Penguins is actually strong enough to Ski, in a Puffin session our instructors will be able to assess your little ones and let you know if they could move up to Penguins early.

Everyone participating MUST be 3 to 4 years old and have a minimum shoe size 7. The lesson can be booked for up to 5 people. You will be joined by others. Everyone participating will be taught at the same level.

A parent/guardian MUST accompany the child on foot onto the slope if the instructor deems this necessary.
